This is the kind of luxury escape that people with demanding lives crave.

DAY 2
Foreday Morning Jam
Foreday Morning Jam is one of Crop Over’s most powerful experiences. Beginning just after midnight, this iconic celebration blends music, dance, paint, and powder in a joyful, ancestral Caribbean tradition rooted in liberation and community. It’s Barbados’ version of J’ouvert—raw, vibrant, and unforgettable.

This year, we will "jump" or dance in parade, with Adinkra the band. This partnership is meaningful as both Adinkra and Sankofa are terms that come from the Ghanaian language "Twi." These symbols are our commitment to honoring African heritage. Together, we’ll move through the streets before dawn, celebrating the creativity and resilience of the African Diaspora.

DAY 3
Emancipation Day
Emancipation Day commemorates the abolition of slavery in Barbados and the wider British Empire in 1834. Observed on August 1st, this day is not just a historical remembrance for many Caribbean countries, but a powerful celebration of resilience and freedom. The Barbadian gathering brings together activists, scholars, artists, and everyday Bajans for a day of music, spoken word, drumming, dance, and speeches that reaffirm the strength of the African Diaspora. Emancipation Day is a powerful community gathering that validates our shared ancestral struggles and global triumphs, while the variety of performances bring ancestral traditions to life.

This empowering celebration of our Pan-African identify and heritage is sure to provide you with clarity, inspiration, and a renewed sense of cultural pride.

DAY 4
Island Rum Distillery Tour
The birthplace of rum, Barbados has an interesting story to tell. On this tour, you will learn how enslaved Africans dating back to 1700s played a pivotal role in the production of rum, turning it into the world-renowned spirit it is today. This immersive tour will take you through 300+ years of craftsmanship, from the sugarcane fields to copper pot stills and oak barrel aging. The experience ends with a guided tasting of small-batch and limited-edition rums, paired with expert tips on how to appreciate the nuances of each blend.

This sensory experience will foster an appreciation for the history, culture and craftmanship of rum making. Savor each sip in this sophisticated, high-end experience filled with storytelling, a preview to our Barbados Food & Rum Festival trip (November 2026). This introduction to the deep connections between rum, the Transatlantic Slave Trade, and the Caribbean identity is the perfect stop before your final celebration: Grand Kadooment.

DAY 5
Grand Kadooment
This carnival parade is the grand finale of the Crop Over Festival where thousands of revelers in feathers, jewels, and sequined costumes come from around the world to dance in the streets to the pulsating sounds of soca and calypso.
Kadooment is also a symbolic closing to our week-long journey of cultural immersion in Barbados. After a full week of connecting with nature, exploring history and reconnecting with our ancestral stories, dancing in Grand Kadooment is a moment that will allow you to step into pure, unfiltered joy. Whether you choose to watch the dancers go by, or "jump" with a band and parade along with them, most will find themselves drinking rum in the hot sun and embracing the pure euphoria of living in the moment. And if your friends get it on camera, you'll have the ultimate social media post that youcan- share with everyone!

Celebrated on the first Monday in August, Grand Kadooment is more than just a party. It is a soul-liberating, full-circle moment that embodies both the struggle and the triumph of our global, Black, Pan-African cultural resilience.
